Our Central-West Orana project is currently seeking a dedicated Project Manager - Substations to share their expertise within our growing Energy Hubs and Substations teams.
Project Manager positions start in our project office in Sydney CBD, with occasional site visits. Once the project is fully operational, it will transition to DIDO 14 days onsite in camp style accommodation and 7 days off site, on a roster-based arrangement out of the Central West Orana Region.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager will be responsible for total control of all aspects of the project and will ensure the construction of the project meets time frames and budgets.
Accountable for the construction component of the project, and team motivation, in conjunction with the project Commercial Manager and Project Engineers, identify key areas of variance from the estimate/cost plan and manage/approve subcontractor time extensions.

The selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of project transport systems while adhering to Australian Standards and Main Roads Codes of Practice. As the site is in regional NSW an hour north of Mudgee, the successful candidate should live in the region or in Sydney and be able and willing to travel to site as required.

Criteria for Selection
Bachelor's degree in Contract Law, Commerce, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline
Suitable experience in a similar role within a Construction or Infrastructure environment
Extensive experience in construction projects (5 years +), ideally in the electrical sector
Demonstrated ability to motivate/manage multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong communication and sound negotiation skills.

ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.
The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.
LOCATION: The successful candidate will be based out of our camp office in Merotherie 5 days a week.
About the Role
The Training Advisor supports the facilitation and delivery of internal and external training for the Project. Working closely with funding bodies and external training providers to ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely training whilst providing project wide support. The role supports accurate and timely data collection and reporting to support compliance with Project deed requirements.
Support delivery of Project Induction and onboarding programs
Facilitate scheduling, booking, and coordinating training for project personnel
Collate training evaluation feedback provided by personnel for both internal and external training
Provide advice and guidance during the project lifecycle regarding training scheduling, compliance, and system management
Support the development and contribute to the review of Project Specific Training documentation
Assist with scheduled training and compliance audits as required
Work with key stakeholders within Education providers and RTOs to identify, design, develop, and roll out apprenticeship and traineeship programs
Support the implementation and monitoring of the Training and Skills Management Plan (TSMP)
Ensures accurate and timely data collection and supports monthly and quarterly Project compliance reporting
Reviews and validates workforce and training data to support monthly reporting, trends and case study development
Criteria for Selection
Certificate IV Training and Assessment TAE40122 or equivalent
Working knowledge of the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF), training needs analysis and RTO compliance
Minimum 2 years' experience in employment support or vocational training or adult educational management within the construction, infrastructure or energy sectors
Ability to interpret and implement regulatory requirements.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
Problem-solving and time management skills
Knowledge of vocational education, competency-based training and systems
Project management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams
